Major General Hisham Al-Halaby, advisor to the Military Academy for Studies, affirmed that America announced it aimed to disrupt the Iranian nuclear program by striking the Fordow reactor, noting that Trump always wants his country’s image to appear “clean” to the world.
He continued during his interview with journalist Ahmed Moussa on the “Ala Masouleety” program, broadcast on Sada El Balad channel: “I believe America allowed Iran to transfer uranium enrichment materials out of fear of radiation,” commenting, “War is not judged by statements but by objectives on the ground. America’s strike was only a blow to a concrete structure, not destruction.”
He pointed out that America is sending the world unreal images that it destroyed Iran’s nuclear project, when in reality it was merely a partial strike on the concrete facilities of the reactors. He concluded: “If Iran retaliates against America, it will put itself in a dilemma, and the only response it has is to strike Tel Aviv and military airports.”
