Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Egypt National Telecom Regulatory Authority. This MOU is aimed at strengthening cyber security practices and fostering collaboration within Egypt’s digital landscape.
This strategic partnership between Huawei and the NTRA signifies a shared commitment to bolstering cyber defenses, safeguarding sensitive data, and promoting a secure digital ecosystem. By joining forces, both parties are set to effectively leverage their expertise, resources, and networks to address emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities effectively.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Vice President for Cyber Security Affairs, National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and Chairman Executive Bureau of The Egyptian Supreme Cybersecurity Council said, “The signing of this MOU represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance national cyber security practices and protect critical assets. The MOU was signed during Huawei for the second year in a row at CDIS 2024, under the slogan “Empowering Trust, Securing Digital Egypt.
